The data coming from the INSIST virtual population (recently marked as a new Innovation by the EU Innovation radar; “Computational tools to generate virtual populations of stroke patients”) have been used in the Digital Health Technologies hackathon organized by TNO, the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research,  on 20-22 January 2021. The use of this data allowed technical specialists to use realistic demographic population descriptives without having access of privacy sensitive patient data. This use of the results coming from the virtual population highlights its value for various end users/customers.

New research from our INSIST consortium suggests that computer simulations could be used to develop more efficient treatments for stroke patients.
